black-on-black: studio session
When friends come asking to have their pictures taken, it’s impossible to say no. It’s rare to have that happen (usually I have to drag them to the studio), but it has happened – like once, when this friend of mine had just had a leather jacket custom-made for himself and suggested that we could take some pictures. Studio photography is always fun, and in my mind, leather just had to be a great thing to light with studio lighting.
It turned out to be a productive and enjoyable day in the studio, where I got to have fun with lights and practise taking pictures of black on black. This long day underground (when the sun was shining outside) was very much worth it – I learnt a lot, and was spending time with friends while doing it!
