a musical morning with a 1-year-old

On Saturday morning, I met up with a wonderful family who came and joined me in the studio. We had a fun hour with toys and flashing lights – like most children, she enjoyed being the centre of attention. She clearly had a musical talent and played and sang for me while I photographed her. What a pleasure!

I thought I’d share some of the photos I took there – I hope you enjoy them! Comments are always welcome.

Lego was another favourite.

Like most children I’ve photographed, this 1-year-old showed a lot of interest in the camera… Is the future full of photographers? Or has it already happened… The lighting didn’t work in this one, since I had set the lights up for a model sitting in a different spot, but I decided to share it anyway because it shows the energy and spontaneity of photographing children.

Sometimes, but rarely, there is a short time of focused calm.
